IP 1.19 Professional Teaching Level

Professional teaching levels will be defined as follows, based on education, experience, student learning, and teaching/work excellence.

Assistant Professor Level: All faculty with three years or less of full-time teaching experience at an institution of higher education.

Associate Professor Level: Faculty who meet the Northeastern minimum credentialing criteria for their primary teaching assignment, demonstrated teaching and/or job excellence, and have three (3) to fifteen (15) years of full-time teaching experience at an institution of higher education.

Professor Level: Faculty who maintain minimum credentialing criteria, demonstrated teaching and/or job excellence, and have fifteen (15) years of full-time higher education teaching experience.
