Program Review

Program Review is an ongoing process at Northeastern established to determine the health of each department and the programs within.

Program Review shows student achievement data which is a requirement for accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.

This evaluation process includes overall completion and success as well as completion and success within four demographic statuses of students which are gender, first generation, Pell eligibility and race/ethnicity.

Definitions of the evaluation process are:

  • Completion: having a grade of A, B, C, D, or F in the course divided by all grades including W ( withdraw).
  • Success: having an A, B, or C in the course divided by all grades including W.
  • Percentage of credits earned and FTE (full-time equivalent) are also calculated as well as the number of students in the program which is expressed as both, a duplicated and unduplicated number.
  • Percentage of credits earned: total credits earned divided by total credits attempted.
  • FTE (full-time equivalent): total credits attempted divided by 30.
  • Cells with n/a mean there was no student in that demographic.
