Fire Science

Ben is working with Deer Mountain Fire Protection District. He was deployed to the August Complex Fire in Northern California, the Grizzly Creek fire in Glenwood Springs and most recently the Cameron Peake Fire. While on these fires Ben was assigned to a type 3 engine.  He worked on back burning and holding operations as well as assisting with hot shot crews.

H says "Northeastern was the best choice because I got what I wanted.  NJC made it happen.  I loved the community environment on campus and how I got to know all of my instructors.  It was challenging, but I always had the resources I needed to help me succeed.  Even though I have graduated, NJC continues to be a great resource for me."
