What to Bring

Your college dorm room will be your home away from home! Start by knowing what you can and cannot bring and begin preparing for your college move-in day beforehand in order to reduce stress and make your move-in experience as easy as possible.

Living on campus and being away from home can be an exciting, challenging, and nerve-wracking experience, especially for first-time students. Sharing a room with someone new, gaining more independence, and making new friends are just some of the things you can look forward to while living in the dorms, but these can also be stressful.

Being prepared before moving into your dorm will help ease some of the stress that you and your family will be feeling during the move-in process.
