Degrees that Transfer

Northeastern has statewide transfer degrees that guarantee you can graduate from a community college with a two-year associate degree (60 credits) and transfer to a participating Colorado four-year school as a junior. After transferring, you would complete 60 additional credits to earn a bachelor's degree in your major.

Some majors may exceed the typical 120 credits required to graduate. Be sure to meet with an adviser when planning your courses.

With an associate degree, students only need an additional 60 credits to earn a bachelor degree. Statewide Transfer Agreements

These statewide transfer agreements (also known as Degrees with Designation) allow students to:

Graduate from Northeastern with a 60-credit Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree
Transfer to any public Colorado university with junior status
Earn a bachelor's degree in a specific area of study in no more than an additional 60 credits depending on the degree

Colorado Community College System Transfer Agreements

Four-year institutions independently determine the requirements for their programs. Therefore, transfer/articulation agreements differ from program to program and from college to college. Refer to this list of four-year colleges (both in and out of state) for the specific courses to take at Northeastern and transfer into a bachelor's program.

Guaranteed Transfer Courses

Colleges and universities in Colorado have identified general education courses in various categories and have guaranteed to accept these in transfer between institutions. We refer to these as GT or GTP (Guaranteed Transfer or GT Pathways) courses. Nearly 200 lower-division general education courses in 20 subject areas have been approved for guaranteed transfer. These courses must be successfully completed ("C" or better grade) in order to transfer to other institutions.
