Caps and Gowns must be ordered and prepaid in advance before March 31st. All orders placed before March 31st will be shipped to the Records Office for pickup starting May 1st. Students who miss the March 31 deadline should contact or visit the Records Office for further guidance.

Reminder: A cap and gown are required to participate in the commencement ceremony. Students who do not plan to attend the ceremony do not need to place an order.
Northeastern will be holding two in-person commencement ceremonies on May 14, 2027.
Both ceremonies will be held in the Bank of Colorado Event Center main arena. The first ceremony will take place at 10:00 A.M. and will include graduates from the following academic departments:

Both graduation ceremonies will be live streamed on Northeastern's YouTube Channel.
Following both commencement ceremonies, a reception for graduates and guests will be held in the Chuckwagon Cafe. Everyone is invited to attend the receptions.
Line-up will take place in the auxiliary gym of the Event Center, beginning one hour before each ceremony. Graduates will pick up their reader card and line up for the procession. During the ceremony, reader cards are used to announce graduate names as they cross the stage. Please leave personal items and valuables with family or friends.
Photos of graduates will be taken during each ceremony. The reader cards will be used by the photographer to send the photo proof to the graduates with pricing and order information. Graduates will need to add an e-mail address to the reader card, or other contact information, for the photographers to reach out to them.
Commencement practice will take place on May 13, 2027 at noon in the Bank of Colorado Event Center.
Graduation honors recognize outstanding academic achievement throughout a student’s academic career at the home institution. The honors are awarded to students who complete the requirements for an associate degree, complete 30 credits at Northeastern, and earn a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA at the institution. Only college level courses completed at the institution will be included in the GPA calculation. The three levels of recognition are defined as follows and will be posted on the student’s transcript.
