NP 3-65.02 - Professional Development

In accordance with BP 3-65, Northeastern encourages employees to attend professional development activities such as trainings and conferences. All requests for professional development that are not grant funded are processed through the Human Resources Lead Team (HRLT) Committee. This committee meets once a month to review and vote on each submitted request.  To ensure that all are considered fairly, they consider several factors when voting. Among these are the number of approved requests in the past two years, content of the PD, application to the employee’s position, cost effectiveness, and overall budget.

A request for professional development is not a guarantee of approval.  Requests are considered on a first come, first serve basis, so please submit your request at least 30 days in advance.

I always found inspiration from my professors at NJC who made me laugh, and encouraged me to be the best I could be.  Eventually I would like to use my skills to become a video game programmer or designer.
