Northeastern will be holding two in-person commencement ceremonies on May 14, 2021. Both ceremonies will be held in the Bank of Colorado Event Center main arena. The first ceremony will take place at 10:00 A.M. and will include graduates from the following academic departments:
- Emergency Medical Services
- Fire Science Technologies
- Health, Math and Science
The second ceremony will take place at 2:00 P.M. and will include graduates from the following academic departments:
- Applied Technology: Auto, Diesel, Wind
- Applied Technology: Welding
- Business and Sports Management
- Liberal Arts (Criminal Justice, Early Childhood and Elementary Education, History, Music, Philosophy, Psychology)
Because of capacity limitations due to the COVID pandemic, graduates will only be permitted to invite 2 guests per graduate. Tickets for guests will be issued in the Northeastern Bookstore when graduates receive their cap and gown. Following the afternoon commencement ceremony, a reception for graduates and guests will be held at approximately 3:30 P.M. under a tent on the Northeastern lawn just south of Phillips-Whyman Hall, east of the clock tower. Everyone is invited to attend the reception.
2021 Spring Commencement will also be presented as a Virtual Commencement Ceremony, to be aired on YouTube Premiere at a date and time to be determined. Check back on this page for updated information about the 90-minute virtual ceremony.
Commencement practice will take place on May 13, 2021 at noon in the Bank of Colorado Event Center.
