I love that I’m able to continue working in EMS while advancing my education to become a paramedic. I enjoy learning new skills and gaining the knowledge that will allow me to provide a higher level of care to my patients.
After graduation I plan to stay working for Kit Carson County and work as an ALS provider, bringing a higher level of care to the people in my community.
Since becoming an EMT, I felt like I have found my purpose. I have been fortunate enough to have great mentors who have encouraged me, taught me, and inspired me to continue advancing in EMS.
My favorite part of NJC has been the instructors and my classmates. The instructors genuinely want us to succeed and are always willing to teach, challenge our thinking and push us to become the best providers we can be. I have also really enjoyed going through the program alongside a great group of classmates; we learn from each other, support each other, and somehow manage to have a lot of fun along the way. We are a Family!
