Northeastern Policies and Legal Notices

Profile specific fields

Alumni and Student Profiles are displayed through the same form

Profiles are a great way to allow future students to see someone that is similar to them. Of students tagged to a specific page, a random group of individuals will be pulled onto the page, so the faces will change on every visit.

Profiles can be promoted to areas of study as well as organizations.

Title is the student or alumni's full name. Editor will select whether this is a Student or an Alumni. After entering the first and last name, additional fields are optional dependent on the information available.

For Student profiles, we have been using the following questions:

  • Why did you choose and/or what do you like about Northeastern? Why?
  • What do you like about your area of study? Why?
  • What do you plan to do after graduation?
  • What inspires you?
  • What is your favorite memory or awkward moment at Northeastern?

These should be modified to tailor them to the response upon publishing.

For Alumni, we ask them to share the influence their time at Northeastern had on them.

In the Assignment block, select the area of Study or Organization that you want the profile displayed on.

As a student, I have loved how much the teachers care about you. They want you to succeed in whatever you want to do and are always willing to help. It makes it much easier to cope with change and classes that aren't your strong suit.

I am actually interested in what I am learning. I learn something new every day and the teachers are willing to help us take our education wherever we want to go.

The teachers make it feel less like a school and more like a group of friends hanging out, while still learning.
