Northeastern Junior College 2026-2027 Catalog
Northeastern operates on the 15 to 16-week semester, plus a three to four-day final exam schedule. In addition, the college offers intensive courses, generally the two weeks prior to each term and summer: August term, January term, and May term.
Students can select courses from one or more term combinations to reach optimum enrollment. The summer term is an integral part of the yearly calendar and is designed to provide continuous educational opportunities. It provides additional opportunity for high school graduates to adjust to college-level work in a relaxed summer environment.
The start and end dates for the three terms of the 2026-2027 Academic Year are:
Summer Intercession: May 18, 2026 to May 29, 2026
Summer Session (5 week): May 26, 2026 to June 25, 2026
Summer Session (10 week): May 26, 2026 to July 31, 2026
Fall Intercession: August 3, 2026 to August 14, 2026
Fall Full Term: August 17, 2026 to December 11, 2026
Spring Intercession: January 4, 2027 to January 15, 2027
Spring Full Term: January 19, 2027 to May 14, 2027
