Additional Costs

The following is an estimate of some of the annual costs you may incur to attend NJC. It shows you some possible costs you may experience but does not reflect actual out-of-pocket expenses.

Books, Course Materials, and Supplies

You will need course materials for your selected classes that you take while attending NJC.  These course materials may be required, recommended, or optional. You may have course material fees that are included in the cost of your class (inclusive access) or you may use Open Educational Resources (which generally have no/low cost).  Please note that every student has a very different total amount needed for course materials.  These ranges vary: from semester to semester, depending upon your area of study, due to the number of credits that you are taking, depending on whether you are taking an on-campus class versus an online one, etc.

Other costs that you might incur for other supplies that may be required for your classes are:  calculators, notes packs, goggles, supplies kits, scrubs, etc.

The average costs of course materials, textbooks, and supplies to attend NJC for a school year is dependent on your class schedule.  No two students will have the same cost for course materials in any given semester.  To find out your actual cost of your course materials please click on this link: https://bncvirtual.com/njc  You can enter your schedule and view the materials that you will need, complete with all current costs for print new/used, digital, rental, inclusive access, OER, etc. On average an estimate of our course materials per school year is $580.00 - $1,100.00, this includes out-of-pocket textbook expenses as well as the Digital Course Fee assessed by the State for inclusive access classes.  Please remember that this range is an estimate, and your actual course material costs may be more or less for a school year.

The most important thing that I see at Northeastern is that everybody is helpful. Sometimes I don't understand or I can't talk perfectly but everybody is trying to listen and understand me. Also it's hard to stay far away from family, but here I can feel more comfortable because everyone says, "Hello, how are you?", "How's it going?", to each other. That is perfect!

What I like best about Northeastern are the very friendly and supportive people that study and work there. As a soccer player, we also have a very bonded team and I really like the combination of competitiveness and help that we offer each other. For students that think about coming to Northeastern you can expect all of these things. Speaking as an international student, you will have an amazing experience here and one you won't regret!

I love studying agriculture business because of the versatility. In my classes I learn a wide array of topics from all fields including non-agriculture industries.
