Fitness and Wellness

The Event Center has a comprehensive Wellness Center. A large weight room on the main floor features a wide array of free weights and machines. The second floor features pin-driving weight machines and cardiovascular equipment as well as other fitness tools. The second floor overlooks the main arena and has overhead televisions for viewing. The facility is free to full time students and memberships are available for purchase for community members as well.

The auxiliary gym, located at the opposite end of the building, provides a second area for varied activity. Day to day it is used for practice and play, but easily converts into a two-court tournament area with or without a center drape. It is ideal for team warm-up space, special program accommodations or a convention exhibit hall. Again, notice the large overhead door which allows large items to be moved into this area.

A batting cage for indoor baseball and softball practice may be lowered from the ceiling as needed. This gym floor, which also moves with motion, is striped for basketball, badminton, and indoor tennis play. Volleyball is frequently played here as well.
