2.04 Change Major and Advisor

A program of study or college major is the choice of the student. The college urges a selection of a major upon admission so the appropriate academic advisor can be assigned to assist in course registration and complete requirements for graduation. An advisor is a faculty member who teaches within a specific program. If a student realizes another course of study suits their interests and abilities, the student should contact the Division Chair or Dean in the student's current program to complete a 'change of major' or 'change of advisor' form.

If a program of study is a completely new field, then a new advisor will be requested. Students have the privilege of changing major or advisor for any term. Caution should be taken in this procedure; frequent changes will delay completing graduation requirements. The change of major form is available in the Records Office, Hays 102.

If I had to say something about Northeastern it's that it's a very family-run university and it feels great. All the professors and staff of the university are very nice and kind.

I chose NJC because of their athletic program as well as their academic standard.
