Northeastern: Elsie Good Memorial Scholarship
This $1,500 annual scholarship is awarded for two consecutive years to a Northeastern graduate that is transferring to any Colorado four-year institution. The recipient must be a Logan County resident with a minimum 3.0 GPA. This award recognizes the academic standing and accomplishments of talented students from all degree programs at NJC.
Applicants must submit the following information:
- A cover letter that includes your clubs and activities involved with at NJC, your future goals, and your attitudes about the qualities of education which make it important to you.
- Two letters of recommendation
- Northeastern transcript
- Proof of acceptance to your chosen transfer institution
This scholarship was founded in 2006 in memory of Elsie Good. She was a long time Logan County resident and she was concerned about those students who finished their time at Northeastern Junior College but did not have the funds to continue on to a four-year college. Her generous gift to the NJC Foundation aims to help alleviate this issue as this scholarship is given to several NJC graduates each year, so that they may continue their education.
