New Student Orientation Fall 2026

We ask that all new first year students or transfer students who live on and off campus attend New Student Orientation on Friday, August 14th, 2026.  

• Students will check in at the Bank of Colorado Event Center main gym at 9:00 a.m.  Please bring your student ID to this event. This event will last until 12:30 p.m. so please plan accordingly.

Drop-in Orientation is available to Non-Traditional Students (students over the age of 24, working full-time, or raising a family) on Wednesday, August 12th starting at 10:30 a.m. in the Student Success Center located on the first floor of the Hays Student Center.  Sessions will be held every 30 minutes, and the last session will begin at 5:30 p.m.  Please call the Student Success Center at (970) 521-6663 if you have any questions.

 Below you’ll find some helpful tips for move-in:

• You MUST HAVE your Payment Plan set up, your Student I.D. Picture taken, and be enrolled in 12+ Credits BEFORE you are able to move in
  • To take care of your bill, login to your NJC Access account, click on “Financial Aid and Payments”
  • To take your picture for your photo I.D. please visit the Housing Office in Hays Student Center 113
  • If you are not in 12+ credits, please contact NJCStudentSuccessCenter@njc.edu
