NJC programs mutually beneficial

In today’s tough economy, the only certainty is nothing is certain. With no sure answers, the logical course seems to be trying something new. The status quo isn’t working anymore, and to truly stimulate the economy, we must think outside the box.

That doesn’t mean throwing out every idea and starting from scratch, but it does mean identifying resources that may have gone unnoticed or untapped in the past.

Our community holds a great example of that. By next year, Northeastern Junior College hopes to have a wind turbine technician program up and running. The program will put a small dent in the number of needed technicians nationally.
