Northeastern livestock judging teams finding success at shows

Northeastern Junior College’s sophomore and freshman livestock judging teams competed in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the Sioux Empire Livestock Show on Sunday, Jan. 29. They represented NJC very well and the sophomores were Reserve Champion Team Overall.

Sophomores:

2nd High Team Overall

1st High Team Cattle

2nd High Team Reasons

2nd High Team Hogs

3rd High Team Sheep and Goats

Abby Scholz: 2nd High Overall, 1st Cattle, 3rd High Reasons, 3rd High Hogs

Sydney Baldwin: 4th High Overall, 5th High Reasons, 2nd High Hogs, 5th High Cattle

Blake Bruns: 7th High Overall, 3rd High Sheep and Goats

Freshmen:

4th High Team Cattle

5th High Team Hogs

Kellum Carnahan: 2nd High Individual Overall, 4th High Reasons, 4th High Cattle

The team also competed at the National Western Stock Show in Denver on Jan. 12 and 13.

10th High Team Sheep & Goats
