Hi there!  I’m Samantha Mahaffey, but most people call me Mrs. M or Sam.  I’ve been a nurse since 2006 and have spent close to 20 years in the medical profession.  I began my career as an EMT, and I decided that I wanted to work somewhere that wasn’t moving all the time!  In my nursing career, I’ve enjoyed working in several different areas of nursing, but my two favorite specialties are emergency nursing and perioperative nursing.  I’m honored to share my knowledge with the next generation of nurses, and enjoy spending time with them in both the classroom and in the clinical setting.  When I’m not teaching, I’m spending time with my family and my pets.  I also like to paint and take photographs to help me relax and refocus.
