Northeastern Junior College Music professors Celeste Delgado-Pelton and Lee Lippstrew announce the Master Chorale NJC Music Scholar for this semester is Alexander Norell.
Norell is a Sterling High School graduate, where he studied with Risa Lamorie. He began playing in school bands in fifth grade, and has played euphonium, horn, trumpet and piano. Recently he has focused on playing the bass guitar and upright bass, and plays those in several bands, on and off campus.
As for his plans after NJC, Norell will continue his education with university and music technology degrees. He then plans on teaching music courses at the college level.
