Master Chorale of Sterling and Northeastern Junior College Department of Music announce the recipient of the fall 2021 Master Chorale NJC Music Scholarship is Brendon Williams-Ransdell. Williams-Ransdell is a sophomore at Northeastern, majoring in music education. He is a percussionist, a studio lab monitor and serves as an audio visual technician for the Corsberg Theater.

Williams-Ransdell’s music path started in fifth grade band here in Sterling, and he went on to intern for the middle school music teacher, Risa Lamorie. In high school he played with several bands, and accompanied for choirs and musicals, the Sterling Miracle Players and Master Chorale. Brendon also played with some NJC bands while at Sterling High School, and he built relationships with professors Lee Lippstrew and Celeste Delgado-Pelton, as well as other musicians. With those relationships, and the opportunities he saw there, he chose NJC Department of Music to start his educational path to becoming a music educator. Look for him on stage at the next NJC concert!
