Local auto group donates to NJC program

Christmas time seems to put everyone in the ‘gifting’ mode and Northeastern Junior College’s secondary automotive technology program is excited to be one recipient of the spirit of the season.

The Northeast Colorado Benefit Run, a fairly new organization in this part of the state, has donated $800 to the educational program in memory of Manual Estrada.

Manual “Manny” Estrada, a local car enthusiast who had a passion for working on cars and driving them, passed away last year. Two of his good friends, and others, organized an event in his honor last June when they rallied drivers to participate in a first annual poker run.
