Charlie’s Diesel Service donates semi to NJC

Charlie’s Diesel Service owner, Mike Gillespie, recently donated a 1992 Freightliner Semi to Northeastern Junior College Diesel Technology Program. This donation provides the students a hands on learning experience with heavy duty truck systems.

Mr. Gillespie is the second generation, with his son, Nathen, being the third generation, working at the dealership his dad, Charlie Gillespie, started 45 years ago. He understands the need for good diesel technicians and wanted to help Northeastern’s Diesel Program educate students to be successful in today’s workforce.

The most important thing that I see at Northeastern is that everybody is helpful. Sometimes I don't understand or I can't talk perfectly but everybody is trying to listen and understand me. Also it's hard to stay far away from family, but here I can feel more comfortable because everyone says, "Hello, how are you?", "How's it going?", to each other. That is perfect!
