The Diesel Power Club at Northeastern Junior College will host its annual toy show this Saturday, Feb. 28, at Lebsack-Schmidt Hall located on the college’s north campus facility located just off Pioneer Road in Sterling.

Approximately 240 linear feet of toys and collectables will be on display available for sale. By show time, it is expected that 40 six-foot-long tables will have been sold to exhibitors, some local and some from throughout the region.

The toy show opens at 9 a.m. and runs through 3:30 p.m. It is a fundraiser for the students and any proceeds raised are used to help pay for the cost of the event as well as to help fund some field trips the group will be taking later this spring.

A concession stand will be available at the event. Those who attend may register to win a 1/16 scale Steiger 480 Tractor Dealer Edition toy which will be given away as a door prize at the end of the day.

Cost for admission to the event is $1.00 for adults, 50 cents for children ages 3-10 and all visitors under 3 are free.

What I love about Northeastern is definitely the community feeling and the feeling of comfort! It is such a small college, so everyone knows everyone! It is like a huge family.

What I like best about Northeastern are the very friendly and supportive people that study and work there. As a soccer player, we also have a very bonded team and I really like the combination of competitiveness and help that we offer each other. For students that think about coming to Northeastern you can expect all of these things. Speaking as an international student, you will have an amazing experience here and one you won't regret!
