Freightliner/Floyd’s Truck Center donate truck to NJC diesel program

Northeastern Junior College diesel tech students now have an opportunity for more hands-on learning. The program recently received a 2011 Freightliner Model 114SD Heavy Duty Truck donated by Daimler Trucks North America, Freightliner’s parent company, from their Portland, Ore., training facility, thanks to the NJC program’s sponsor, Floyd’s Truck Center.

Wednesday, Sid Johnston, fixed operations director all eight of Floyd’s sites and general manager of the Sidney, Neb., store and Cody Bohl, service manager for the Scottsbluff, Neb., store, visited NJC to formally present the truck and talk to diesel students about careers with Floyd’s.
