(Intended for new residential students beginning their housing experience at Northeastern Junior College for the spring semester.)

Spring is the time for fresh starts and new resolutions! The Spring Beginnings Scholarship allots a room (board) scholarship to a new residential, full-time student at Northeastern Junior College for the spring semester. The room scholarship is worth $1718.00, which is the standard (double) room rate for Poole and Herbie Halls. If you choose to live in a residence hall other than Poole or Herbie Hall, additional charges may apply. To be considered for the Spring Beginnings Scholarship, a prospective student must apply for admission, submit a high school/college transcript, and complete the Spring Beginnings Scholarship application no later than December 19th, 2025.

 


  1. Student must be a new residential student living on campus in the spring.


  2. Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours (full-time status) for the spring semester.


  3. Student must intend to finish a program of study at Northeastern Junior College.


  4. Student must purchase a meal plan.


  5. Student understands the room scholarship will not continue beyond the initially awarded semester and assignments are based on room availability.


  6. Student must fully complete the essay on the application below in order to be considered for the Spring Beginnings Scholarship.


  7. Student must complete an application for admission to Northeastern Junior College.


  8. Student must complete the housing application, pay the $150.00 housing deposit, and submit immunization records.


  9. It is recommended that the student completes a FAFSA application.


  10. Priority will be given to Colorado residents.

Note: In order to qualify and be awarded the Spring Beginnings scholarship, a student must also submit an application for admission to NJC, complete their housing application, deposit, and immunization records for living on campus, and submit an official high school/college transcript.
