Dr. Dante Penington is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Northeastern Junior College. He received his B.S. from Metropolitan State University in Criminal Justice and Criminology, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Colorado, Denver, and a Ph.D. from Capella University in Public Safety. Dr. Penington work experience involves over four years of supervising convicted offenders both in a half-way house as a case manager and on electronic monitoring as a probation officer, two years supervising employment background investigations, fraud investigations, and workplace investigations, and five years as president/CEO of a criminal background check and drug testing company.  While at Northeastern Junior College, Dr. Penington has received the following awards: Star Performer in 2016 and Faculty of the Year in 2017.
