1st Meeting - Math, Science, & Outdoors Club!

Do you like hiking, chess, star parties (with big telescopes & s'mores!), museum trips, movies, mad scientist experiments and more? It is time to start up the Math, Science, & Outdoors Club - the first meeting is Thursday, 8/27, at 3pm in Whyman 201! There will, of course, be snacks - but more importantly: it is time to start planning the activities we want this year! It would be AWESOME if we had a group interested in planning a little travel - could be day trips to museums, hiking, etc. OR - maybe something a little bigger? There are SO many opportunities open in the Math, Science, & Outdoors club! We do already have the first chess day aiming for Sept 10 ... but what else? When is the next star party? What demos, activities, or projects sound fun? Anyone interested in research opportunities? (AND - there is my ever-present offer of beekeeping and bee research!) Which parts sound good to you? Come to the meeting this Thursday & help us brainstorm!
