  • Complete a separate interlibrary loan request for each title being requested.
  • Limit request to three popular videos, audio books, and fiction titles per month per patron.
  • Limit research-oriented requests to six per patron at a time. Exceptions may be made for faculty members conducting research.

Requests will be processed within one workday. Borrowed materials will be processed and the patron notified within one workday after material is received.

Fines

All patrons will be assessed a $1.00 per day fine for overdue interlibrary loan (ILL) materials. Northeastern faculty and staff will not be exempt from fines for interlibrary loan items.

Renewals

No renewals will be allowed for items borrowed from other libraries. If you request a book or video via interlibrary loan, please make it a priority to use this material by the due date specified.

Reorders

We will not reorder the same book/video from another library if you fail to utilize the material within the borrowing period specified by the original lending library.

Difficult to locate materials

If your request is difficult to process, we will request from out of state lenders to borrow the material. This may result in slower delivery time.

Copyright Restrictions
