Graduating high school with a diploma or GED and starting college for the first time? Or transferring from another college? Complete these steps.
Complete our free admission application. There is no application fee, and this first step opens your admission file so you can move on to financial aid, housing, and registration.
Grants, work-study, and student loans can all make college affordable. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and apply for scholarships to get a jump start on your finances.
Log into your ACCESS NJC student portal and click the Navigate icon to begin your To-Do items. These items must be completed before you can enroll in any classes.
Send official high school transcripts that show a completed graduation date. Transfer students also send ACT/SAT scores. Open the details below for delivery options and Accuplacer testing.
Send through Parchment, Scribbles, or the National Student Clearinghouse, or have your high school sign, seal, and stamp them and mail them directly to Northeastern Junior College, Attn: Admissions Office, 100 College Avenue, Sterling, CO 80751.
ACT/SAT scores: Ask the testing agency to send your results to us, show your score on your high school transcript, or provide official score documents. If you answer yes to any question below, schedule an Accuplacer test:

Incoming freshmen must live on campus unless they live within a 60-mile radius. Complete the housing application, pay your housing deposit, and submit immunization records to reserve your room.
Your file is almost complete! Please reserve your spot at one of our upcoming Registration Days so you can meet with an advisor and enroll in your classes.
Complete the TRiO Student Support Services application to join the Northeastern SSS Program. Eligible students who participate can apply for additional grant aid and request extra support and coaching.
Take college classes and earn college credit while you are still in high school.
Set up a time with your high school counselor and parent or guardian to complete the free application for admission and the concurrent enrollment paperwork together.
Meet with your high school counselor to enroll in classes. It is essential that you meet with your counselor so that you are enrolled in the correct classes.

After three terms with no completed or graded credit-bearing courses, students become inactive and must reapply so their residency is reevaluated and academic program reconfirmed. Readmission uses the free online application.
Complete the general student application and choose F1 visa under citizenship type when you reach that section. Out of the country? Deadlines are July 15 for fall and December 15 for spring.
Fill out the International Student Information Form. You will upload a copy of your passport, your bank statements (see step 3), and your English test scores (see step 4).
Submit the International Student Financial Statement. With your supporting paperwork, it verifies that you can cover your program and living costs at NJC. Upload documents or email them to us.
If your native language is not English, you must provide one of the accepted English test scores or qualifications. Send them to the Office of Admission by mail or by email.
