The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will determine how much financial aid you are eligible for.

Steps to applying for financial aid.

  1. Create an FSA ID. BOTH student and parent will need an FSA ID! The FSA ID serves as your legal electronic signature and allows you to transfer tax information into the FAFSA application.
  2. Apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN). Your PIN will permit you to sign your FAFSA on the web electronically. (A parent or guardian must also apply for a PIN, so that they can also sign electronically.)
  3. Fill out and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1st. Northeastern's School Code is 001361
  4. Watch your mail for your Award Letter. I received my award letter, now what?

    Call or visit the Financial Aid office 5 to 7 days after submitting your FAFSA to find out what aid you have been awarded

Apply for COF (Colorado Residents Only)

The College Opportunity Fund (COF) is a stipend for Colorado Residents. Applying for COF will save you over $77 per credit. A full time student will save over $924!
