Fill out the FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will determine how much financial aid you are eligible for.

- Apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at www.pin.ed.gov. Your PIN will permit you to sign your FAFSA on the web electronically.
A parent or guardian must also apply for a PIN, so that they can also sign electronically.
- Complete federal income tax returns for both student and parent(s) before applying for financial aid.
- Fill out and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov by March 1st. NJC's School Code is 001361
- Call or visit the Financial Aid office 5 to 7 days after submitting your FAFSA to find out what aid you have been awarded

Apply for COF (In-State Residence Only)
The College Opportunity Fund (COF) is a stipend for Colorado Residents. Applying for COF will save you over $60 a credit. A full time student will save over $700. Apply for COF here.
