NEW State-Wide Placement Test:
Consists of two tests: English and Math.

ACT ACT is a standardized test composed of four sections (plus an optional essay) that all 4-year universities in the United States accept.

CLEP College Level Exam Program- lets you demonstrate the knowledge and mastery you have acquired through independent study, academic interests, or on-the-job training. When you earn qualifying scores on these exams you can move past introductory-level course work and on to more advanced challenging courses. $25 Northeastern Assessment Fee + $80 CLEP Test Fee (payable online or by credit card) Total = $105 • Registration Ticket (print when registered online)

NREMT National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians- Northeastern Provides Testing for students looking to acquire their certification in EMR, EMT, Intermediate/99, AEMT, and Paramedic. Fee paid when registered online • Registration Ticket

MBTI Myers Briggs Type Indicator- Personality tests that helps indicate what traits you possess. Can be used in career decision making. $11 • Photo I.D.

Prior Learning Assessment

You may earn college credit for your non-college or experience-based learning attained outside of accredited postsecondary education institutions.
Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) is not awarded for experience but for college-level learning, which entails knowledge, skills and competencies. PLA includes learning acquired from work and life experiences such as:

  • Correspondence and extension courses
  • Individual study and reading
  • Civic, community and volunteer work
  • Participation in formal courses and in-service training sponsored by associations, business, government and industry

You may use Prior Learning Assessment to fulfill all degree / certificate graduation requirements except for the mandatory residency requirements.

CLEP - College Level Examination Program

CLEP examinations let you demonstrate the knowledge and mastery you've acquired through independent study, academic interests, or on-the-job training.
There are five (5) General Examinations and twenty-nine (29) Subject Examinations.
When you earn qualifying scores on these examinations you can move past introductory-level course work and on to more advanced and challenging courses.
Tests are computerized and results are provided immediately.
Cost: $25 Northeastern Junior College for Assessment Fee + $80 CLEP for Test (payable on-line by credit card) Total=$105
