Equine Program Coordinator
Cole Briggs came to NJC with a solid equine background. His horse business experience includes a strong history of showing and training reining horses as well as colt starting. He also brings additional equine business experience with him including sales and horse shoeing. Cole graduated in 1994 from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Equine Science.
Cole has worked for Dave Crowe Cutting Horses in Placerville, CA as well as Darren Miller Reining Horses here in Colorado. He was the trainer for Little Horse Ranch in Enzersdorf, Austria before starting his own business. Briggs Performance Horses offers horse sales, lessons, training and maintains a steady farrier clientele.
Cole's sales background included a position as Equine Specialist for American Pride Coop/Buckeye Nutrition. He maintained a dealer network and sales territory which also included nutrition related farm and ranch consultation. He also has sales experience with 2 of the best retail businesses in the Western United States (Lancaster's Western Wear, Aurora, Colorado and Brighton Feed and Saddlery, Brighton, Colorado.)
Cole believes his education, training experience and business experience bring a broad spectrum of knowledge to the students in the NJC Equine Programs. He maintains and continues to build a strong network of peers in the industry to provide NJC students with many opportunities for internships and real world learning experiences.
