Northeastern: Wind Technician Xcel Energy Scholarship

Wind Technician Scholarships:

These scholarships are awarded at $1,000 to freshman and sophomore students enrolled in the Wind Technician program.. 

Priority will be given to students with a demonstrated financial need and/or those from under represented populations (racial, ethnic, gender) per the conditions of the of Xcel Energy’s Economic Sustainability grant to promote the development and training of a skilled workforce.

Applicants are required to submit a short essay (500 to 2000 words) to include the following:

• Tell us why you are interested in this field, how this scholarship would help you with your education, and what you plan to do upon graduation.
• Explain why you are interested in a career as a wind technician. 
• There is a large demand for wind technicians all across the US.  What state would you like to work in and why did you choose that state?
• Why else should the scholarship committee choose you as a recipient of this scholarship?
