Northeastern: Jesse Samber Memorial 4-H Scholarship
The Jesse Samber Memorial 4-H Scholarship is intended for current or former 4-H members with a preference to young people who have participated in the Northeast Weld County Fair.
The selection criteria will be modeled after the ideals and principles of the 4-H organization that Jesse loved, and which are summed up by the 4-H pledge. “I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service and my health to better living, for my club, my community, my county and my world.”
Head-Scholarship applicants must maintain a 3.0 grade point average and may major in any field of study.
Heart & Hands- As inspired by Jesse’s commitment to showing livestock and 4-H, applicants must show a passion for a cause that they care about (Heart), and a willingness to help make their home and community a better place through service.(Hands)
Health to Better Living -Applicants must display healthy living by showing their involvement in a variety of activities in their schools and organizations.
The application will open after January 1st. Applications are due April 1, 2022.
