Northeastern: Johnson and Associates Accounting Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who has completed two years of full-time study in a business program at Northeastern. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA at Northeastern, and be transferring to any Colorado four-year university to complete a bachelor's degree in accounting. The recipient must be from Northeastern's local five-county service area (Logan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Yuma, or Washington counties).
Applicants must submit unofficial transcripts, proof of acceptance to chosen university, and a cover letter that includes the following information:
- a statement of why the applicant should be considered;
- a list of clubs and activities applicant is or was involved with at Northeastern; and
- what his/her future plans are after leaving Northeastern.
This scholarship was founded in 2015 by Johnson & Associates, a local accounting firm, in order to assist NJC students who are transferring to a four-year college or university in Colorado to complete their B.A. degree in Accounting.
