Community: Centennial Mental Health Center Scholarship

Award Amount

In an effort to raise awareness in its communities for career opportunities in the mental health field, Centennial Mental Health Center offers the annual Future Mental Health Professional Scholarship Program. The program awards successful applicants awards from $500 - $2,000. Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • No age limit, non-traditional students are also encouraged to apply
  • Applicant must have graduated high school or obtained their GED any time before, but by summer of 2021
  • Applicant must be a United States citizen or a legal immigrant
  • Applicant's permanent address must reside in Centennial's catchment area (Phillips, Sedgwick, Logan, Morgan, Washington, Yuma, Elbert, Lincoln, Cheyenne Wells, Kit Carson counties)
  • Applicant must intend to complete minimum of a bachelor's degree in a behavioral health related field (psychology, sociology, counseling, etc)
  • Submittal of an application, transcript(s), two letters of recommendation, and a 500-750 word essay
  • Academic achievement, aptitude, and community service of the applicant will be considered
  • Amounts coordinate with full time enrollment (12+ credit hours per semester).  Awards will be prorated based on student's actual enrollment.
