Northeastern Sophomore: Ag-Tech General Sophomore Scholarship
The Ag-Tech Sophomore Scholarship application is a single application for a number of scholarships offered by Northeastern. These scholarships are awarded to sophomore students enrolled in an agricultural or technical program. The application period begins January 1, and ends April1. One $500 award given to an eligible sophomore agriculture student that demonstrates financial need. |
Colorado Garden & Home Show |
This scholarship will award up to $5,500 to a full-time sophomore student. Preferred applicants are students from a Colorado high school who pursue a career in production agriculture, crop and soil science, or farm and ranch management. A recipient must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. |
Darryl W. Rhodes |
A $2,500 award will be made to a sophomore agriculture student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Eligible applicant must be a Colorado resident. |
Dean & Vay Lousberg Livestock Judging |
Recipient selections are made by agreement between Northeastern's Livestock Judging Team coach and the chairman of the Northeastern Agriculture Department. Recipients must be members of the Northeastern Livestock Judging Team, and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. This scholarship may be renewed for the sophomore year at the discretion of Northeastern's Livestock Judging Team coach. |
Fleming Saddle Club |
This $500 award available only to a sophomore student who is a resident of one the Northeastern's five-county service area (Logan, Phillips, Washington, Yuma and Sedgwick counties of Colorado). Recipient must be declared as an agriculture major. Preference is given to those in Northeastern's Equine Science, Animal Science, Ag Business, or General Agriculture (in that order) programs. |
Fred Sneath Memorial |
This $250 award is given to a continuing sophomore student at Northeastern who has declared their major in Ag Business or Ag Education, and who plans to transfer to a four-year university. Recipient must have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA and be from the local five-county service area (Logan, Phillips, Washington, Yuma and Sedgwick counties of Colorado). |
Hilbert Kahl Memorial Agriculture Education |
This $250 scholarship, established in 1994 in memory of Hilbert Kahl, is given to a sophomore student majoring in Agriculture Education at Northeastern. |
Jeffrey Grauberger Memorial |
This $500 award will be made to a sophomore Agriculture Education student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Recipient must be a Logan County resident. |
Michael & Sandy Underwood |
This $1,000 award will be made to a sophomore student that maintains a minimum 3.5 GPA who is planning to transfer to a 4-year university after graduation. The recipient must be majoring in Agriculture Business, Farm and Ranch Management, or Agriculture Economics, with preference given in the order listed. |
