Dr. Kent Ross, Associate Professor of English and Literature, received his doctorate from Texas A&M-Commerce. He has taught at the college level 14 years, including the last 8 years at NJC. Before his teaching career Dr. Ross worked with young people as a youth director many years. Dr. Ross enjoys hiking, sports, reading, movies, writing, and travel. He is a Dallas Cowboys fan. Dr. Ross teaches Composition 1 and 2, Intro to Literature, Ethnic Literature, World Mythology, Intro to Film Art, and Creative Writing. Dr. Ross sponsors New Voices, the creative writing club.
