CARES Grant

Northeastern offers grants for students continuing through the pandemic.

Northeastern understands the challenges students face during this global health pandemic. To assist students who have been impacted by the disruption to campus operations because of COVID 19, the college is offering CARES Act emergency student grants to students for the spring 2021 semester. The college will award $350,000 to aid with living expenses. Funds will begin to be disbursed after the last day to add or drop classes (February 3rd). Grant awards will be prioritized for students with unmet financial need. The grant application will close at 5:00 on January 21st.

CARES Student Grant money will be awarded on a first come, first served basis in the amount of $1,000.

Eligibility:

  • Must have incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.
  • Must be FAFSA eligible (see eligibility requirements)
  • GPA of 2.0 or above for returning students
  • Making satisfactory academic progress (if applicable)
  • Student will be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours
