Coach McNutt with the new uniforms.Plans are moving right along for the opening of a new varsity men’s soccer team beginning this fall semester at Northeastern Junior College. Head soccer coach Jeremiah McNutt (pictured here) has been busy recruiting players and says that the roster is almost full at this point in time. He’s been working hard to keep the practice field in good shape and to order and get all the necessary equipment in place. Last week new uniforms arrived on campus. McNutt says that he chose to go with black, white and Vegas gold for the basic uniforms and warm ups. Goalies will wear a Vegas gold jersey with bright orange accent color. “Most of the teams in Region IX  have real flashy uniforms,” McNutt said. “So, this being our inaugural year, I wanted to be different, so I chose designs that area a little bit ‘old school’.”  The soccer players will arrive on campus on August 8th and will begin their three a day practices on Tuesday, August 9th.  (Courtesy Photo)
