Welcome to the Theatre Department at Northeastern Junior College! We are excited that you are here. We invite you to take full advantage of the department and all that it has to offer. Our common course offerings are: Theatre Appreciation Theatre at NJC is expanding, and in the near future we hope to offer courses in musical theatre, stage combat, and Shakespeare. In addition to courses, the Theatre Department produces one main stage production each semester. These productions offer opportunities for NJC students to perform on stage, work backstage on the set or costume crew, technical crew (lights, sound, props), or running crew. No matter which side of the footlights you find yourself on, Theatre at NJC has something for you. The Theatrical Renegades is a new addition to the department this year, and has already sponsored exciting campus-wide activities such as Murder Mystery night, Valentine’s Day Candy-grams, Campfire Ghost Story Night, and many more. Theatrical Renegades also supports the play productions each year, including having a voice in which shows we produce! If you are interested in becoming more involved with your art, or are just looking for a creative outlet for your theatricality, come out and see what Theatrical Renegades has to offer.
