Dual Enrollment Checklist

How to get enrolled:

  1. High School Counselor explains Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) and gives student the NJC Application for Admission, NJC Course Registration Form, the Concurrent Statewide Agreement Form (PSEO contract) and the College Opportunity Fund (COF) information.
  2. Student and parent submit all NJC forms to the high school counselor or to the Extended Studies office at NJC.  All forms must be completed and signed.
  3. Take a placement test.  The placement test may be waived if the student's SAT or ACT scores are high enough.  A copy of the students original SAT or ACT scores will be required to waive the placement test.  Copies may be obtained from the high school counselor.
  4. Student registers for approved classes with approval from high school counselor.
  5. The student can only change course enrollment if the high school counselor approves the enrollment change.
  6. Parents are responsible for all costs unless the school district indicates otherwise.  Upon successful completion of the class, reimbursement is between the school district and the student.
  7. At the end of each term, the student grades will be sent to the area high schools from the records office.
  8. Students who wish to send their college transcripts to other agencies must request and pay for those transcripts.
