"NJC is a great place to start a college career. The hands-on training I received working as an intern in the public relations office and as a news reporter and announcer at the local radio station helped get me started on my broadcasting career.

?The memories of the friends and faculty that touched my life as a student remain with me today."

Northeastern's Liberal Arts offers academic programs designed to transfer to four-year colleges and to prepare students for rewarding careers.

Our signature strength is the ability to provide outstanding academic opportunities with a personal touch. Every NJC student is assigned an academic advisor. Our class sizes--including introductory courses--are small when compared to those at larger universities. Think of us as a liberal arts and sciences college without the big tuition!

Interested in the performing and fine arts? We offer excellent programs in art, graphic design, music, and Theatre.

Interesed in the law? Our pre-law program prepares students for advanced study in the legal profession.

Budding journalist or communications expert? Our students write, design, and edit Plainsman Pathways, NJC's student-run newspaper. Students may also work on New Voices, NJC's annual art and literary publication.

Interested in a career in the social sciences? Our programs in psychology, and sociology offer the chance to build academic skills in a small, personal environment!

Want to become a teacher? NJC graduates are found throughout Colorado's school districts and child care centers.

Looking for an honors program in a small residential college environment? Our honors program is the only one of its kind among Colorado's residential two-year colleges.
