Celeste Delgado-Pelton, Director of the Music Program at Northeastern, obtained a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music from the University of Northern Colorado.  As a professional musician, she has been an active session singer and vocal teacher in the Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountain Region. She is a founding faculty member of the Rocky Mountain Vocal Jazz Camp.  Celeste has performed with many notable jazz musicians and is an active clinician and adjudicator throughout the country.  She is a Downbeat Magazine award-winning performer and director, and a frequent nominee of Who's Who Among University Professors.  She is an avid arranger of vocal jazz music and has been a part of numerous recording projects.  Before arriving at NJC, Celeste spent time teaching at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado; Music Works Northwest in Seattle, Washington; and most recently at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado.
