Visual Arts
Through our visual arts program, NJC prepares students to pursue careers in commercial art, graphic design, architecture, interior design, and advertising. Students have an opportunity to showcase their work in the annual NJC Student Art Exhibit and in New Voices, our literary and art publication for students. Theatre
For students interested in the theatre, NJC offers wonderful opportunities. Several theatre courses are available, and the NJC Prairie Players stage two theatrical productions each academic year. Music
NJC offers coursework in the study of music theory, music ear training, and private instruction in piano, organ, guitar, and voice. In 2004, Celeste Delgado-Pelton was hired as a full-time assistant professor in the music department. Celeste has been busy recruiting new students for the music program; performance classes (jazz and concert choir) began fall semester 2005.
