Emergency Medical Services (EMS) / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Northeastern Junior College is approved by the Colorado EMS Department as a Continuing Education Provider Group at the Basic and Intermediate level. All EMS courses meet Colorado State Certification requirements.

  • Meets DOT National curriculum

EMT - Basic
  • Offered Yearly/Nights (On-Campus)
  • Offered in ACCE's five county service upon request only.
  • Meets 1994 DOT Revised Curriculum
  • 174 Hours Classroom/Lab
  • 10 Hours Minimum Clinical Experience
  • Emergency Department
    Prerequisites
  • Basic Life Support CPR Certification
  • Interview with Emergency Medical Services Coordinator
  • 18 Years of Age Before State Certification

EMT - Intermediate
  • Offered Alternate Years/Weekends
  • 200+ Hours Classroom/Lab
  • 60 Hours Minimum Clinical Experience
  • Advanced Live Support
  • Hospital
    Prerequisites
  • Minimum 1-Year Experience as EMT-Basic
  • Recommendation from Agency Physical Advisor
  • Current Basic Life Support CPR Certification
  • Personal or Agency Liability Insurance

Continuing Medical Eductation
