Automotive Technology
Program DetailsNJC's Automotive Technology program has been in existence since the fall of 1966 when classes were first held.The program is designed to prepare its students to obtain entry level positions in automotive dealerships and service centers.
The students work on live and mockup vehicles as they learn skills and competencies which center around A.S.E. and N.A.T.E.F. standards. Some of the areas and systems coverad are machining, electrical, heating and air conditioning, suspension and steering, brakes, drive trains and axle's, fuel and exhaust, transmissions, engine performance, and engine repair.
Automotive & Diesel Master Technician
Program Details
The Automotive and Diesel Master Technician program is designed to train students in the areas of both automotive and diesel technology.
The student will receive hands-on, live training in both the automotive and diesel areas while attending these additional, specialized classes designed for the Automotive and Diesel Master Technician program.
