If the work is plagiarized, it is considered a 0 as a whole.
If the work fails to meet the assignment, it is considered a 0 as a whole.
If the mechanics are incredibly weak, it is considered a 0 as a whole.
Mark each skill as either 4 (high), 3, 2, 1, 0 (low).
Content (did student meet assignment type and length requirements?)
Presentation (did student follow specific requirements such as title, folder, double spacing, etc.?)
Sources (if sources were required, did student use and cite sources correctly?)
Organization
was paper well organized? was thesis clear? Were introduction and conclusion clear (if required)
Development
did writer supply sufficient material to clearly explain his/her ideas?
Unity
did paper stay on topic or did it stray?
Mechanics
was punctuation correct? was wording effective? were sentences well constructed? were pronouns and verbs used correctly? were words spelled correctly? etc.
